Just another sign of the times....

Just another sign of how screwed up America is. All I can say is I'm sure that in the long run this will be better for David Archuleta, and I am glad American Idol won't have control over his career like they will David C. We'll see in a year who has the better album and after watching David A last night and tonight it is clear he is far more talented and capable than David C. Cook sucked butt last night and tonight and Archuleta was absolutely incredible, his performance with One Republic showed that he can sing popular current music just as hot as the biggest performers out there right now. He is diverse, maybe his youth has held him back a little but he is already growing up fast. I can't wait to compare their first albums when they come out because I am sure David Archuleta will bring it, while David Cook is busy struggling for some say in his Idol controled album.

In case you couldn't tell I am so mad David Cook won tonight.

An update on the last couple of weeks....

Our fence is almost finished being installed, we're just waiting on gates!

The vegetable garden we have spent many hours on so far, many more to come I'm sure.

I took my kids on trax to go meet Lisa for lunch last week in Downtown SLC. I guess it was a hit because Maddison told me I was the best mom ever... Trust me, that's huge. Normally she explains why I'm the worst and It's usually because I am telling her NO.

This is on the way home, he had so much fun, he had to crash!

What do burnt shoes and a burnt tortilla have in common?

So on Friday I decided to make enchiladas from scratch. I was in the process of cooking the last few tortillas and had put together one batch of enchiladas. I turned on the oven and after a few minutes could smell something aweful burning, it was that burnt rubber/plastic horrible smell. I looked everywhere, all over the stove etc. and then something in the oven caught my eye. I openend up the oven door and Maddisons cute white sandals were sitting on the rack, now becoming brown. I pulled them out, threw them in the sink and turned on the water. By the time I got that all figured out, the tortilla I was cooking was black.
