My sisters won't believe me!
I had to post this picture of Maddison in a skirt with tights because I knew my sister's wouldn't believe me that she wore it unless they saw it with their own eyes. This is the second time she has worn a dress with tights this week! For those of you who don't know, Maddison is super picky when it comes to her clothes. She usually has to be bribed or tricked into wearing her cute clothes. She prefers to wear her jeans with holes in them and her stained shirts that are too small.

Wyatt wanted his picture taken too. He doesn't like being left out!

I also couldn't resist posting this picture of Mark's hand. I don't know that this picture even fully shows how mangled it is, but you can at least get the idea. He broke it a week ago yesterday and doesn't even have his appointment with the surgeon until next Tuesday. Hopefully they'll schedule the surgery next week as well.

Yes, that is a GIANT bruise on his palm.

AUGUST RUSH
I just saw my new favorite movie last night.
AUGUST RUSH
All I can say is don't wait to see it, you will love it. If you are a lover of music, you will very likely leave this movie with it ranked as your new number 1 of all time as well.
OH, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers is my new favorite actor (Primarily because he is so hot, but also... well you'll know after you see the movie.

He is to die for in this movie and FYI it really is him singing.

BROKEN!
This is my pathetic attempt at giving you a visual of the current state of Mark's left hand. Unfortunately, he officially retired from Basketball upon sustaining yet another B-ball related injury last night. This one, as well, is going to require surgery, and according to the info I have gathered so far, he will have a metal plate in his hand the rest of his life. (his previous injury for those of you who don't know was a shoulder injury- his shoulder has dislocated so many times I can't count. He just had his second repair surgery on that one in March of this year. So before 2007 ends he will go under the knife again.)
Just to let you all know (because the question has been asked) this is Mark's 1st broken bone and he is not super accident prone, he's just aggressive when it comes to basketball and he'll sacrifice his limbs for the game.
The official word from the doc: broke a 1" piece of his middle metacarpal on both sides.
I'm just full of interesting stories for you all... Maybe I should have been a nurse. It certainly would have come in handy in our house.

If you had unlimited money what top ten things would you purchase...???
Okay, so I see all of these fun "Tags" where you list your top ten whatevers... Well Mark and I always play this game, "If you had unlimited money, what kind of car would you buy, right now at this moment today." So I started thinking it would be fun to list the top ten things I would buy if I had unlimited money (we're talking a billion dollars!) Here goes, and if you read this, then tag, you have to post your top ten things.
10. We'll start with a car for me since that's what got this whole thing started. I think today, right now at this moment, I would buy the new Mercedes GL450 SUV. Fully Loaded!!!
9. I would definately have to buy a maid. One who does laundry.
8. I would probably obviously build a new house, but nothing too extravagant. Just an upgrade from the house we live in now.
7. A Marriott Timeshare so I can go on a sweet vacation every two months at a nice, but still family friendly resort.
6. An airplane, so I could fly to all my vacations in luxury and privacy. that way my kids would handle the traveling better. And I would hire my neighbor Avery to be my personal pilot, then his wife Erin and her little girl could travel with us too.
5. A supernice, superbig, superfast computer. (and a desk to house it on)
4. New living room furniture
3. New Kitchen furniture (our table is Mark's Grandmas table, who has coincidentally been gone from this earth for like 20 years now. I think it's time for a new table.
2. One of those LG washer and dryer sets that cost like $3000. You can wash like 18 pairs of jeans at a time and they dry faster than you can wash them... Then I might not need to get a maid to do the laundry, just clean. In that case I would buy a second home in St.George.
1. The last thing that is on my immediate list is 2 horses and 2 pony's (so our whole family could ride together.
Now I just need to figure out where to get my billion dollars.

Sorry for the wait...
So I am very sorry to those of you who have been waiting for some gross story to read involving raunchy injuries or bodily fluid incidences you never wanted to know about. you know I'm always good for something that will make you cringe. I actually have a really gross one too from this week, but it's involving the dog and sickness and things I gaurantee you you don't want to read about, so we'll skip it!
Mark has been out of town the majority of this month in Vernal for work. I actually packed up the kids and the dog and we went down with him last Monday and Tuesday. It was more fun than I expected and I am glad to say I have finally seen it. There are only two more major locations in Utah I havn't been to but want to see still, Lake Powell, (I know it's Ludacris {I know I spelled that like the rapper "Ludacris" but It's late and I can't remember how to spell it the normal way. And now I have this stupid rap song my brother in law was listening to the other day in my head, some of you may know it where they say something like "I was like, LUDA, and I was like what?" I don't know the words but it's stuck in my head anyway... look on I tunes and you'll know what I'm talking about, it's very catchy.} So back to what I was saying, I still haven't been to Lake Powell in the ten years I have lived here. I did watch a week long series of specials on KBYU earlier this month that told about the canyon that used to exist where lake Powell now is, and the dam they built there. It's crazy how many ancient ruins were covered up when they filled the canyon. Interesting stuff.
Okay so the other place I would love to visit is Bear Lake. I hear some great things about that place and I've never been. So hopefully soon I'll make it to those two places.
While we were in Vernal we took the kids to the dinosaur museum which was awesome because all of the bones, artifacts and fossils were found in that area. I really want to go back this summer and look for fossilized leaves in rocks etc. I also want to go back and go to Flaming Gorge. I think it would be so fun to camp and rent Jet Skis. That's my plan, and since I am totally in control of that stuff in my family I'm sure it will totally happen. (re-read that last sentence and drench it in sarcasm... See I was totally not serious at all.)
The only other news I have is that Maddison broke my camera at the beginning of the month, that's why there are no photos as of late. (and probably why I havn't posted much) I sent it in to be repaired though and apparently it's under warranty, so it's been fixed and is already on it's way back to me. Soon I'll have more photos posted for you all.
Talk at ya'll later.

A shout out to all the single mothers....
I just wanted to give a shout out to all the women out there who are, or have been single mothers. Mark is out of town this week, and as some of you know, he is gone most of Jan - March each winter and I am a semi-single parent. (I know it's not the same thing at all as really being a sinlge mom, it's the much easier version of it.) Anyway, I just wanted to share some of the highlights so far that I have gotten to deal with on my own this week.
Yesterday morning, Wyatt woke up at 6:30am and declared, " I haf a go potty mom." Since he is still in diapers and slowly transition to big boy undies, I half a asleep still replied "okay, go then." He then proceeded to go into my bathroom, completely undress himself and poop on two of my three bathmats. He did make it to the toilet for part of the pottying, but most of it ended up on the floor. The bath mats were 4 years old, so those just ended up in the trash. (without going into detail, it was nasty enough that I couldn't have cleaned the bath mats well enough to remove the stains anyway, so yes, throwing them out was warranted.) I got that mess all cleaned up and thought that would be the last of the trauma, well we had a busy day and neither Maddi or Wyatt got naps, Maddi does fine without one now, but Wyatt still needs naps. By 8pm they were toast; maddi got her jammies on and got in my bed (since Mark is out of town) and Wyatt got in the bath tub. While I was in Wyatt's room grabbing his jammies and diaper, I got distracted and started picking up a bit. He snuck out of the tub and proceeded to my bedroom where he began spritzing Maddison with a spray bottle. She freaked out, of course, and after I got her calmed down and taken care of I went back to the bathtub where Wyatt had retreated in an attempt to avoid being reprimanded, and scolded him telling him, it was time to get out of the tub and get in bed. He was so tired, that he immediately threw a giant tantrum. Wyatt rarely has tantrums, when he does it's because he's beyond tired, but he gets really really upset when he does throw one, to the point where he cries so hard he gags himself and throws up everywhere... which is exactly what he did, all over me, last night. It was all over me, all over him, all over the carpet, towel and bathroom floor. (I was right outside the bathroom when it began and got him to the toilet to finish up.) Talk about a disgusting day!!!
On top of that all, I came down with a head cold yesterday and started feeling like crap last night. Today I just took Ibuprofen to make it through, (don't worry that I have two hair appointments and a work thing tonight.)
Anyway, I just have to applaud all the single moms out there and tell you how much you rock! I admire all of you who do it alone and do it well. You are great women and you're doing a good job!!! If you ever need anything, call me, I'll be there in a second.

FAT is the new thin.
So my sister in law Jen was in Utah this weekend and we got to hang out and go to dinner. It was so much fun seeing her and her mom and two kids, and we really did have a great time. Thanks again for treating us D.C.! Jen and I got to talking as we scarfed down the delicious cookies at Paradise Bakery, and decided that we are tired of even thinking about trying to lose weight. I mean come on, Halloween barely ended, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and with Christmas barely after that, the next month and half are hopeless!! I lost 17 lbs at the beginning of this year and 10 months later I have managed to pretty much put it all back on. My point is that some people are naturally slender, some people work their butts off to be fit, some are okay with just average and some have come to realize that FAT, is the new thin! And I am proudly one of them. (Until I get tired of being fat again!)
**Disclaimer**
Jen, you look great and I only brought you into this post becuase of our conversation. I am in no way shape or form implying that my sister in law is FAT. Also, for all you thin people out there, I still love you, but will always envy either your genes that make you that way, or your determination to get your butt to the gym, or not eat that donut. And for all you fellow "weight strugglers" out there, you are beautiful and don't worry about the size or the scale, HEALTHY is what matters! Love ya!
